Space Adventure Cobra – The Awakening brings the classic anime to PC and consoles

Microids’ Space Adventure Cobra – The Awakening is out now on PC, Xbox Series X|S, Playstation 5, and Nintendo Switch. This new video game adaptation of the iconic 1978 manga created by Buichi Terasawa takes players on a thrilling adventure that follows the events of the first twelve episodes of the anime series.  Watch the game’s launch trailer below…

Fans of Space Adventure Cobra – The Awakening will take the role of Cobra, a brave adventurer with a cybernetic left arm housing the legendary Psychogun, and set out on a variety of escapades across the universe.  Accompanied by his loyal partner Armaroid Lady, players will follow the adventures of the first 12 episodes and cross paths with a variety of colourful characters, such as the Royal Sisters and the terrifying Crystal Bowie.

Players will be able to visit numerous exotic planets filled with traps and enemies that will test players’ skills with Cobra’s superhuman abilities, his Psychogun, and the Colt Python 77. Players will also be able to make use of his famous gadgets like the cigar and the grappling hook to help them get past the multitudes of enemies and bosses.

Space Adventure Cobra – The Awakening features a story mode with 3 difficulty levels that allows players to either enjoy a relaxing adventure or tackle a challenge worthy of their skills. Players can also take on the enemies in an exciting 2-player co-op mode.

Gamers are able to purchase a physical limited edition that includes the full game, the bonus mission “The Roulette of Death”, an artbook, and the exclusive “Smoking Skin”. PC gamers can buy a Deluxe Edition featuring the Full game, bonus mission “The Roulette of Death”, the “Smoking Skin”, the soundtrack and a digital artbook.
