A new Second Doctor box set of full-cast Doctor Who audio dramas is heading to Big Finish this December, with more trouble in store as he’s up against his most fearsome enemies from Skaro, the Daleks. Michael Troughton once again takes on the role of the second Doctor, and is joined by old favourites Frazer Hines as Jamie, and Wendy Padbury as Zoe.
As the Doctor and his companions, along with the Doctor’s Time Lord supervisor Raven (played by Emma Noakes), have been happily investigating cases of mysterious Kippers and the space-time archive known as the Vanishing Point, but when they discover a Dalek plot that can threaten the whole universe it’s time to jump into action.
This upcoming box set features three perilous adventures for the Second Doctor and his companions.
In Humpty Dumpty by Nicholas Briggs, the innocent children’s nursery rhyme is on the brink of causing a catastrophe on a cosmic scale, and the Doctor and his companions are about to face a battle which began on Skaro.
The Secret of the Daleks by Mark Wright finds the TARDIS hot on a lingering trail of the Daleks’ space-time corridor. When it arrives on a tropical forest world, the Doctor and his companions take refuge with the population of a peaceful village. Sitting among the friendly natives and peaceful forest, the Doctor wonders if he has finally defeated the Daleks.
Finally, in War of the Morai by Mark Wright and Nicholas Briggs, the Doctor and friends rush back to the Vanishing Point in the hope of warning Ananke and the Morai of an impending invasion. What they uncover is a population in exile and an insidious plan underway. The time travellers will need to fight with all they can to restore order save the universe.
