Bubble Bobble Sugar Dungeons reveals Castle Stage in new video

October 2, 2025 by Andrew Newton

Arc System Works and Taito Corporation have revealed the new ‘Castle’ stage for Bubble Bobble Sugar Dungeons in a new video (see below) which provides an introduction to the upcoming game.  This new adventure for Bub will arrive on the Nintendo Switch, PlayStation 5 and Steam on 27th November.

Bubble Bobble games of the past have featured a fixed screen that players must complete before they can progress on to the next stage, but in Bubble Bobble Sugar Dungeons the dungeons change every time you step into them. It’s also not necessary to defeat every enemy in the game, trap them in bubbles and leave through the exit.

The newly revealed ‘Castle’ is a huge stage where players will explore several rooms that are connected like a maze. There are multiple floors connected vertically and horizontally to create one giant stage. Players will need to use all their skills to explore every corner in the castle, and at the deepest part awaits a unique boss.

As players guide Bub around the dungeons, they will be able to collect treasures and learn new skills that will make him stronger. These can then be used to dive deeper into the stages.

Bubble Bobble Sugar Dungeons arrives on Nintendo Switch, PlayStation 5 and PC via Steam on 27th November, and also includes a port of the home version of Bubble Symphony, which was first released in 1997.
