New poster for the Anaconda reboot starring Paul Rudd and Jack Black

October 19, 2025 by Gary Collinson

Sony has unveiled a new poster for Anaconda, the upcoming comedic meta-reboot of the action adventure horror franchise.

The new film is directed by Tom Gormican (The Unbearable Weight of Massive Talent) and stars Paul Rudd and Jack Black as two friends who embark on a voyage deep into the Amazon rainforest to remake their favourite movie from their youth – 1997’s Anaconda starring Jennifer Lopez and Ice Cube.

Joining Rudd and Black on their adventure are Steve Zahn, Thandiwe Newton, Daniela Melchior, Selton Mello, Ione Skye and Ben Lawson. Check out the new poster here…

Doug (Jack Black) and Griff (Paul Rudd) have been best friends since they were kids, and have always dreamed of remaking their all-time favorite movie: the cinematic “classic” Anaconda. When a midlife crisis pushes them to finally go for it, they head deep into the Amazon to start filming. But things get real when an actual giant anaconda appears, turning their comically chaotic movie set into a deadly situation. The movie they’re dying to make? It might just get them killed.

Anaconda is set for release on December 25th in the US and on December 26th in the UK.
