Netflix has dropped a no-holds-barred teaser for their small-screen series adaptation of Man on Fire, which finds Candyman and Wonder Man star Yahya Abdul-Mateen II taking on the role of John Creasy, the take-no-prisoners assassin made famous by Denzel Washington in Tony Scott’s 2004 actioner.
Fear Street’s Kyle Killen is the writer, executive producer, and showrunner of Man on Fire, while Creed II director Steven Caple Jr. will helm the first two episodes. Also starring Billie Boullet, Bobby Cannavale, Alice Braga, Scoot McNairy and Paul Ben-Victor. Check out the action-packed video below…
Man on Fire follows John Creasy, who was once a high-functioning and skilled Special Forces Mercenary known for surviving even the most desolate situations. However, John is now battling extreme PTSD and personal demons. As he attempts a fresh start, he’ll find himself back in the (metaphorical) fire and fighting harder than ever.
Man on Fire debuts April 30th, only on Netflix.
