Godzilla Minus Zero crash lands in America with CinemaCon trailer

April 15, 2026 by EJ Moreno

The beloved Godzilla Minus One was expected to get a bigger and badder sequel, and the first teaser for Godzilla Minus Zero promises that.

Released at this year’s CinemaCon, alongside a killer poster as well, the first look at the follow-up to 2023’s Academy Award-winning instant classic has us all hyped to the max. Without showing too much for an early teaser, you can still tell that the mastermind Takashi Yamazaki is cooking something crazy here.

Even though fans saw Godzilla sink to the depths of the ocean at the end of the last film, we all know you can’t keep this iconic kaiju down for long. Little is still known about the film, but with the shocking ending of the teaser, the monster is heading stateside.

Ahead of the fall release, sink your teeth into something that has skyrocketed to the top of this year’s most anticipated releases. Check out the poster and teaser below…

GODZILLA MINUS ZERO picks up in 1949, two years after the tumultuous events of Godzilla Minus One, and continues the story of the Shikishima family as they face an all-new calamity. Additionally, confirmed out of CinemaCon, Ryunosuke Kamiki, the hero who faced Godzilla’s terror in Godzilla Minus One, returns as Koichi Shikishima, and is joined by Minami Hamabe as Noriko Oishi, who miraculously survived Godzilla’s first attack on Tokyo.

As a project Filmed For IMAX, GODZILLA MINUS ZERO was shot with high-definition digital cameras certified by IMAX, and optimized in sound and imagery unique to IMAX screens. Fans can look forward to seeing Godzilla presented to all new terrifying heights, making GODZILLA MINUS ZERO in a true cinematic event not to be missed.

Godzilla Minus Zero storms theaters on November 6th.
