It’s Colin Baker’s 83rd birthday today, and what better way for Big Finish Productions to celebrate than to announce The Sixth Doctor Adventures: Reunion, a brand-new audio drama box due for release in August. The Doctor’s journey with companion Peri (Nicola Bryant) and Vislor Turlough (Mark Strickson), a treacherous travelling companion from his previous incarnation, but an end may be in sight.
The Sixth Doctor Adventures: Reunion takes listeners on the following three new adventures:
‘Save the Date’ by Matthew Sweet – It’s the end of London’s swinging sixties and Perpugilliam Brown is the new secretary for the Eternal Joy dating agency. Although it seems like an odd job choice for Peri, she is actually undercover to discover who is responsible for the sonic boom that rang out over the city, and all the answers seem to be hidden in the agency’s big pink computer. Her role is also the perfect opportunity to set the Doctor and Turlough up on a double date.
‘Poison’s Reach’ by Paul Sutton – The civilisation of Freefall is powered by the natural radiation stream that rises from its moon, at least that’s what the population believe. However, engineer Sandra Silva knows the truth and is determined to expose the Stelta Corporation for the criminals they are, and fortunately she has three time travellers to help her succeed. Turlough also learns a very valuable lesson about sacrifice.
‘Broken Home’ by AK Benedict & Guy Adams – When the TARDIS arrives on Trion, Turlough immediately hands the Doctor and Peri over to the occupying forces. Is he still a traitor to the Doctor? Has he learned anything from his travels with the Time Lord, and what is he willing to sacrifice to liberate his planet?
