Trailer for Shudder horror Nightborn starring Rupert Grint

July 2, 2026 by Amie Cranswick

Shudder has released a trailer, poster and images for Nightborn, the upcoming horror from writer-director Hanna Bergholm (Hatching).

Set to arrive on the streaming service later this month (alongside our very own The Baby in the Basket!), the film follows Saga (Seidi Haarla), who moves her husband Jon (Rupert Grint) to her isolated childhood home deep in a Finnish forest with hopes of starting the perfect family. But after their baby is born, cracks begin to show in their marriage and Jon struggles to support his wife as she starts to believe that there is something terribly wrong with their newborn son.

Joining Haarla and Grint in the cast is Pamela Tola, Pirkko Saisio, Rebecca Lacey, John Thomson, and Silvia Saloranta. Check out the trailer below…

With dreams of starting a perfect family, Saga (Seidi Haarla, Compartment No. 6) and her British husband Jon (Rupert Grint, Knock at the Cabin) move to the isolated house where she spent much of her childhood, deep in the Finnish forest. But as soon as their baby is born, despite the reassurance of all around her, Saga knows there’s something terribly wrong with her son. As their marriage starts to crack, Jon struggles to support his wife, but only Saga suspects the terrible truth about her newborn.

Nightborn arrives on Shudder on July 31st.
