As part of San Diego Comic-Con, AMC+ has shared the first trailer for Yaga at San Diego Comic-Con, the upcoming mystery thriller series based on Kat Sandler’s 2019 play of the same name which is inspired by the legend of slavic folklore legend Baba Yaga.
Noah Reid stars as a private investigator who finds himself entangled in a world of enigmatic suspects, secret lives, and ancient magic when he is hired to look into the disappearance of a young fishery heir in a small coastal town.
Joining Reid in the cast is Carrie-Anne Moss, Hudson William, Clark Backo, Sheila McCarthy, Megan Follows, Ezra Franky, Patrick Gilmore, Katharine Isabelle, Hiro Kanagawa, Emilija Baranac, Georgia Acken, Anisa Harris, and Sam Krochmal. Watch the trailer below…
YAGA follows Rapp (Noah Reid, Schitt’s Creek, The Vampire Lestat), a private investigator who arrives in a small coastal town to investigate the disappearance of a young heir to a powerful fishery, Henry Park (Hudson Williams, Heated Rivalry). He finds himself at odds with an apprehensive local detective, Carson (Clark Backo, Venom: The Last Dance, Letterkenny), a charismatic university professor with a taste for younger men, Katherine (Carrie-Anne Moss, Matrix Films, Memento), and a labyrinth of enigmatic suspects, secret lives, and ancient magic.
Yaga premieres on AMC+ this October.
