Big Finish Productions has released the fifth episode in Doctor Who: The Twelfth Doctor Adventures – Run Fast, Be Kind miniseries. Titled Duty of Care, this latest episode follows on from last week’s dramatic episode and sees a disagreement between the Doctor (Jon Culshaw) and his new companion Ash (Gwythian Evans).
The Doctor never kills, at least not intentionally. No matter how evil his enemies are, the Doctor always offers mercy. But throughout this miniseries, someone hasn’t agreed that mercy is the best outcome and has been travelling through time and space killing the villains that the Doctor has let live.
The Doctor’s forgiving nature has been bothering Ash for a little while and now has reached his limit, with his actions making the Doctor furious. Will Ash agree that showing mercy is the best approach, or will he decide the Doctor’s pursuer has the right idea?

The Twelfth Doctor Adventures: Duty of Care features the voice talents of Gemma Knight Jones (recently seen in TV crime drama MobLand) as Amaya Aphra and Doña Croll as Nne/Dara Aphra.
Jon Culshaw said: “This story is so brilliantly written by Christian Markham. There’s such an obvious love for this era and all the different layers that can present you with all the different juxtapositions and moral questions of when Doctor Who digs deep. And so many huge moral issues that these speeches really tore into.”
