With just under a month to go until Slow Horses returns for its sixth season, Apple TV has shared a new trailer for the award-winning espionage drama series, which also confirms the return of House of the Dragon star Olivia Cooke as Sidonie ‘Sid’ Baker.
Based on the sixth and seventh books in Mick Herron’s novel series, Joe Country and Slough House, season 6 sees the team on the run as anyone who has ever worked at Slough House is targeted, while the new head of MI5 forces them into a dangerous game of retaliation and revenge.
The cast includes Gary Oldman, Kristin Scott Thomas, Jack Lowden, Saskia Reeves, Christopher Chung, Aimee-Ffion Edwards, Rosalind Eleazar, Joanna Scanlan, Samuel West, Ruth Bradley, Tom Brooke, Jonathan Pryce, Hugo Weaving, Lenny Rush and Olivia Cooke. Watch the trailer below…
“Slow Horses” is a darkly humorous espionage drama that follows a dysfunctional team of British intelligence agents who serve in a dumping ground department of MI5 known unaffectionately as Slough House. Oldman stars as Jackson Lamb, the brilliant but cantankerous leader of the spies who end up in Slough House due to their career-ending mistakes and who frequently find themselves blundering around the smoke and mirrors of the espionage world.
Slow Horses season 6 premieres on Apple TV on September 16th.
