Per Deadline’s report the Dune and Spider-Man: Brand New Day star has put pen-to-paper for a role in Garland’s untitled film. Plot details are being kept under wraps, with shooting set to get underway next year.
Garland is currently in post-production on his big-budget videogame adaptation of Elden Ring, which stars Kit Connor, Cailee Spaeny, and Ben Whishaw and is due to hit cinemas in March 2028. He has a little more space in his schedule with the news that the third 28 Years Later movie is now on the back-burner at Sony following the poor box-office performance of The Bone Temple. Garland was originally tasked with writing all three-scripts for the intended trilogy.
Next up for Zendaya is her final outing as Chani in Denis Villeneuve’s trilogy-capping Dune: Part III, which opens on December 18th. Let us know what you think of this casting news by heading to our social channels @FlickeringMyth…
