Nick Frost rules out a Paul sequel

March 31, 2016 by Gary Collinson

Appearing on Edith Bowman’s Virgin Radio breakshow show, Nick Frost has ruled out the possibility of a sequel to Paul, the 2011 comedy starring Frost and Simon Pegg as a couple of sci-fi fans who meet the titular extra-terrestrial (voiced by Seth Rogen) during a road trip across the USA.

“No, I think that time’s come and gone,” said Frost. “There was a tiny sniff I think of someone saying ‘why don’t we do it as a TV show in America’, but that kind of went away. I just think it’s so expensive to make – as in him – that, you know…it was nice as it was.”

Paul was directed by Greg Mottola (Superbad) and grossed almost $100 million when it was released back in 2011.
