Ray Fisher cast as Cyborg in Batman vs. Superman

April 24, 2014 by Gary Collinson

Well, we can now add another Justice Leaguer to the roster of Warner Bros.’ upcoming Man of Steel sequel, with Variety revealing that young stage actor Ray Fisher – who has previously been mentioned as a potential addition to Star Wars: Episode VII – has joined the cast of Batman vs. Superman in the role of Victor Stone, a.k.a. Cyborg.

It’s said that Cyborg will not be a major part of the film, but “will become a much more significant role as Warner and D.C. develop more films related to the Justice League universe.” He will of course be joined in the Man of Steel sequel by Henry Cavill as Superman, Ben Affleck as Batman and Gal Gadot as Wonder Woman.

Batman vs. Superman is set for release on May 6th 2016 with Zack Snyder directing a cast that also includes returning Man of Steel stars Amy Adams (Lois Lane), Diane Lane (Martha Kent) and Laurence Fishburne (Perry White) alongside Jesse Eisenberg (Now You See Me) as Lex Luthor, Jeremy Irons (The Borgias) as Alfred Pennyworth and Holly Hunter (The Piano), Callan Mulvey (300: Rise of an Empire), and Tao Okamoto (The Wolverine) in as-yet-unrevealed roles.
