Live-action Shinobi movie in development

April 29, 2016 by Gary Collinson

Marc Platt Productions has announced that it is partnering with Stories International, an affiliate of SEGA Group, to production a live-action film adaptation of the iconic video game franchise Shinobi.

“We love the Shinobi games and believe that the world of ninjas has never been properly explored onscreen,” states Marc Platt, who will produce alongside Adam Siegel. “We now have the opportunity to do just that. With Shinobi, we hope to make a film that honors the essence of the games and brings this fascinating world to life for moviegoing audiences.”

“Marc, Adam and the team at Marc Platt Productions are the perfect partners to bring the beloved SEGA character Joe Musashi and the Shinobi game franchise to the big screen,” adds Tomoya Suzuki, CEO of Stories. “We are thrilled to work with them.”

Stories has a number of film and TV projects in the works based on SEGA properties, including Golden Axe, Altered Beast, Virtua Fighter and Crazy Taxi.
