Colin Farrell to reteam with The Lobster director Yorgos Lanthimos

May 13, 2016 by Scott J. Davis

Variety is reporting news from Cannes that Colin Farrell is set to reteam with director Yorgos Lanthimos for The Killing of a Sacred Deer.

Farrell and Lanthimos had previously collaborated together on last year’s The Lobster and the two will reunite on the new film, which is set to go into production this summer. Ed Guiney and Andrew Lowe, who were producers of The Lobster, are also on board.

Early word on the film, written by Lanthimos and co-writer Efthymis Fillippou, has the story following “a young man that needs to take revenge, a doctor that has to make a decision, and his family that must survive.”

Farrell will next be seen in the Harry Potter prequel Fantastic Beasts and Where to Find Them later this year.
