Genndy Tartakovsky returning for Hotel Transylvania 3

June 27, 2016 by Gary Collinson

Last October, director Genndy Tartakovsky revealed that he had no plans to return for Sony’s Hotel Transylvania 3, stating that “two is enough” and he was looking to move on to other projects, including the revived Samurai Jack, which is set to return to Cartoon Network this year.

Well, it seems he has now had a change of heart, as the director has told The Hollywood Reporter that he’ll be reuniting with voice actors Adam Sandler, Selena Gomez and Andy Samberg for the third entry in the animated franchise.

I thought I was done exploring the world of Hotel Transylvania after the first two films but while I was away from the franchise finishing my TV show Samurai Jack, an idea sparked that I got really excited about and made it irresistible to return and helm myself this third adventure..”

The first two Hotel Transylvania movies grossed over $820 million between them, and the third is set for release on September 22nd 2018.
