Cartoon Network pulls Beware the Batman from schedule

October 21, 2013 by admin

Last year, Cartoon Network caused plenty of upset when it pulled both Young Justice and Green Lantern: The Animated Series from its DC Nation programming block, before eventually confirming that both shows would be cancelled with the conclusion of their respective seasons.

Well, in what looks to be a clear case of deja vu, it seems the Dark Knight’s latest small screen offering could be about to suffer the same fate, with reports emerging from Twitter that Cartoon Network has removed new episodes of the CG-animated Beware the Batman from the schedule, leaving just Teen Titans Go! as Cartoon Network’s sole DC property at present.

Update – According to Batman voice actor Anthony Ruivivar on Twitter, new episodes of Beware the Batman will resume on Cartoon Network in January. Of course, given what happened to Young Justice and Green Lantern, it looks like we’ll have to wait and see whether the show is picked up for a second season, or whether it’s living on borrowed time…

Would you be happy to see the back of Beware the Batman? Let us know in the comments below….
