Jonas Cuaron scripting Atlantis film The Lost City

October 18, 2013 by admin

Director Alfonso Cuaron has been earning plenty of plaudits for the extraordinarily successful Gravity, but also deserving of credit is his son Jonas Cuaron, who co-wrote the screenplay with his father.

So it comes as no surprise that Variety are reporting that Warner Bros. has approached Jonas to pen an epic set in Atlantis appropriately titled The Lost City. Warner Bros. evidently has a lot of trust in the property, with Peter Jackson at one point attached to direct.

However, if you can’t wait for The Lost City, Jonas Cuaron’s short film Aningaaq is on Blu-ray, while his directorial debut Desierto, which stars Gael Garcia Bernal starts filming early next year. And of course Gravity comes out here in the UK on November 8th.
