Star Wars: The Last Jedi could return to three classic planets

March 22, 2017 by Samuel Brace

Word has hit that the next film in the saga, Star Wars: The Last Jedi, could see events returning to classic planets from previous movies.

There are certain things one tends to think when it comes to Star Wars; of course there are lightsabers, the force, Jedi, Sith, droids et.c, and there are also the planets. And certain ones stand tall in SW legend, be it for their important events or unique looks.

Well, it looks like we could get the chance to revisit some of those old locations, as MakingStarWars.net is reporting that three such planets will be seen again very soon, according to their source:

“To cut to the chase, the three returning planets are Tatooine, Endor, and Mustafar, although we might not see them in that exact order”.

How reliable the is source? Who knows, but Making Star Wars did have a very good track record on Star Wars: The Force Awakens and Rogue One: A Star Wars Story.

If the information is accurate, this opens up a whole world of new possibilities for the movie. We did see Mustafar during Rogue One as the location of Vader’s castle, so perhaps this is a likely destination for The Last Jedi with Kylo Ren attempting to follow further into his ancestor’s footsteps.

And does it mean more Ewoks? The working title was Space Bear after all…

Star Wars: The Last Jedi is set for release on December 15th and sees returning cast members Mark Hamill (Luke Skywalker), Carrie Fisher (Leia Organa), Adam Driver (Kylo Ren), Daisy Ridley (Rey), John Boyega (Finn), Oscar Isaac (Poe Dameron), Lupita Nyong’o (Maz Kanata), Domhnall Gleeson (General Hux), Anthony Daniels (C-3PO), Gwendoline Christie (Captain Phasma), Billie Lourd (Lieutenant Connix), Andy Serkis (Supreme Leader Snoke), Peter Mayhew and Joonas Suotamo (Chewbacca), Tim Rose (Admiral Ackbar), Mike Quinn (Nien Nunb), Simon Pegg (Unkar Plutt), and Warwick Davis joined by new additions Jimmy Vee (Pan) as R2-D2, Benicio Del Toro (Guardians of the Galaxy), Laura Dern (Jurassic Park) and Kelly Marie Tran (Ladies Like Us).
