Armie Hammer joins Alicia Vikander in Ben Wheatley’s Freakshift

April 5, 2017 by Amie Cranswick

Ben Wheatley continues to assemble his cast for his next film Freakshift, with Deadline reporting that Armie Hammer is set to reunite with his Free Fire director, signing on to appear alongside Oscar-winner Alicia Vikander in the action thriller.

Freakshift is set to go into production in August, and follows a band of misfits who hunt down and kill nocturnal underground monsters. Wheatley recently described the film as “about women with shotguns fighting giant crabs”, and Hammer is set to play the love-interest of Vikander’s lead.
