Star Wars: Episode IX shoot date revealed, Call of Duty cinematic universe, Daredevil 3 shooting details and more – Daily News Roundup

April 7, 2017 by admin

EPISODE IX DETAILS

Yesterday it was revealed that Star Wars: Episode IX would start shooting in July 2017 in London – presumably in Pinewood. We still don’t have a trailer for Star Wars: The Last Jedi (but that should change by next weekend) and Episode IX isn’t out until December 2019 – so there isn’t a whole lot of information right now! Read more about that here.

NEGAN’S RAMPAGE

The Walking Dead star Jefrey Dean Morgan has landed himself a role in the upcoming video game adaptation Rampage, also starring Dwayne “The Rock” Johnson. According to Deadline, his character will have “serious swagger and attitude”. Read more about that story here.

CALL OF UNIVERSE

After announcing their plans to do so in 2015, Activision Blizzard Studios have officially revealed their intentions for a Call of Duty Cinematic Universe, similar to the Marvel and DC franchises. “We have plotted out many years. We put together this group of writers to talk about where we were going,” co-president Stacey Sher stated. “There’ll be a film that feels more like Black Ops, the story behind the story. The Modern Warfare series looks at what it’s like to fight a war with the eyes of the world on you. And then maybe something that is more of a hybrid, where you are looking at private, covert operations, while a public operation is going on”. Read more about that here.

TONIGHT’S FORCAST – A FREEEEEZE IS COMING!

Remember the good ol’ days of comic book movies when Batman had nipples and Arnold Schwarzengger spouted horrible one-liners about ice? Well, Arnie has said he’d like to do it all over again. “I think all of those movies, if they’re written well, they’re entertaining,” he said. “If it’s Batman or Batman and Robin, or X-Men or Spider-Man — all of them. If they’re written well, they have a great life. People enjoy them, and you can see the grosses that they make worldwide. So, yes, of course I would.” Read more about that here.

THERE’S NO PLACE LIKE PONYLAND

Lionsgate has released a poster and promo video for My Little Pony: The Movie. The upcoming animated musical is directed by Jayson Thiessen and features a voice cast that includes Emily Blunt, Kristin Chenoweth, Taye Diggs, Liev Schreiber, Michael Pena, Sia, Uzo Aduba, and Zoe Saldana. Watch it here.

THE DEVIL YOU KNOW…

Production has finished on The Defenders and Jessica Jones season two is underway, and now Charlie Cox has revealed that Daredevil season three is set to start filming later this year. The series will hit Netflix next year.
