Arnold Schwarzenegger’s upcoming slate has took a bit of a hammering this past week or so, what with Paramount letting his option on a Terminator Genisys sequel lapse, the plug being pulled on The Legend of Conan, and the action icon stating he won’t appear in The Expendables 4 unless Sylvester Stallone is on board.
Well, it seems we can also officially rule out a potential cameo in next year’s The Predator, with Arnie revealing to Yahoo! Movies that he did meet with director Shane Black about a return as Dutch, but rejected the opportunity.
“They asked me, and I read it, and I didn’t like it — whatever they offered,” said Arnold. “So I’m not going to do that, no. Except if there’s a chance that they rewrite it, or make it a more significant role. But the way it is now, no, I won’t do that.”
Shane Black also took to Twitter to confirm Schwarzenegger’s comments:
Me too… I spoke with him, I think it was that he didn't have enough to do. Enough presence in the film.

According to Alien vs. Predator Galaxy, Dutch would have appeared right at the end of the film to deliver a few short lines in a brief cameo, which would have served to set up a potential sequel.
