Ryan Reynolds welcomes Josh Brolin as Cable in Deadpool 2

April 13, 2017 by Gary Collinson

20th Century Fox’s search for its Cable came to an end yesterday as the studio announced that Josh Brolin will be taking on the role of Nathan Summers in Deadpool 2 (along with, potentially, the X-Force film and third Deadpool). Following the announcement Ryan Reynolds took to Twitter to jokingly share his thoughts on Brolin’s casting, as well as unveiling a rather odd piece of promotional artwork…

The fuck, Fox! You can't play 2 characters in the same universe!! Josh Brolin was in Sicario and I was in Sabrina The Teenage Witch. pic.twitter.com/AQCRp1aWKg

Meanwhile, graphic designer BossLogic wasted no time in putting together a couple of rather nice pieces of fan art showing how Brolin could look in the role of Cable…
