There are two fun cameos in the credits of Guardians of the Galaxy Vol. 2 to keep an eye out for

April 26, 2017 by admin

WARNING: SOME MAY CONSIDER THIS A SPOILER, BUT IT DOESN’T DISCUSS PLOT DETAILS OR ANYTHING OF THAT NATURE…

It’s a well-known geek-fact that there is an Easter Egg within Guardians of the Galaxy that no one has spotted. Director James Gunn has been very vocal about people coming close online, but no one is yet to figure out this mysterious hidden surprise. Even Chris Pratt doesn’t know, and Gunn won’t tell him. According to the director there is another epic Easter Egg in Guardians of the Galaxy Vol. 2 [read our review here], and he’s going to wait and see if anyone spots this.

Well, we don’t know what that particular Easter Egg might be – but we can tell you about two fun cameos to keep an eye out for in the end credits of the movie.

The credits of Guardians of the Galaxy Vol. 2 features the cast of characters dancing to the excellent tunes from Awesome Mix Vol. 2. One of those characters is Cosmo the Spacedog (who had a brief cameo in the first movie) and the other is none other than Jeff Goldblum’s Grandmaster, who will grace the silver screen in Thor: Ragnarok later this year.

Cosmo appears early on and is very obvious, but you’ll need to keep your eye out for Grandmaster. He’s on the right-hand side of the credits, and appears between the third and fourth post credits [read about those here]. It might even be the fourth and fifth, I can’t quite remember. It’s almost blink-and-you’ll-miss-it, but he’s got a massive smile on his face so he was obviously having a good time!

For those wondering, yes, Howard the Duck also features in the movie – but is absent from the credits.

Set to the backdrop of ‘Awesome Mixtape #2,’ Marvel’s Guardians of the Galaxy Vol. 2 continues the team’s adventures as they traverse the outer reaches of the cosmos. The Guardians must fight to keep their newfound family together as they unravel the mysteries of Peter Quill’s true parentage. Old foes become new allies and fan-favorite characters from the classic comics will come to our heroes’ aid as the Marvel cinematic universe continues to expand.

Guardians of the Galaxy Vol. 2 is scheduled for release on April 28th 2017 in the UK and on May 5th in the States, with director James Gunn reuniting with returning cast members Chris Pratt (Star-Lord), Zoe Saldana (Gamora), Dave Bautista (Drax), Bradley Cooper (Rocket), Vin Diesel (Groot), Karen Gillan (Nebula), Michael Rooker (Yondu), Glenn Close (Nova Prime), Sean Gunn (Kraglin) and Laura Haddock (Meredith Quill) alongside new additions Pom Klementieff (Oldboy) as Mantis, Elizabeth Debicki (The Man from U.N.C.L.E.) as Ayesha, Kurt Russell (The Hateful Eight) as Ego the Living Planet, Chris Sullivan (The Drop) as Taserface, Tommy Flanagan (Sons of Anarchy) as Tulik, Sylvester Stallone (Creed) as Stakar and Michael Rosenbaum (Smallville) in an as-yet-unrevealed role.
