Matt Reeves hints at possible Andy Serkis role in The Batman

May 16, 2017 by Samuel Brace

The Batman director Matt Reeves has laid down a possible hint of a role for Andy Serkis in the movie.

Serkis and Reeves have worked together on Dawn of the Planet of the Apes and the upcoming sequel, War for the Planet of the Apes, where Serkis plays the lead, Caesar.

Obviously enjoying his time working with the motion capture star, Reeves has now commented on whether he and Serkis could team up once again for The Batman.

Replying to a tweet, Reeves didn’t confirm anything but made clear his love for the actor while perhaps not closing the door on the possibility.

Andy Serkis in ANYthing! He is the BEST! Regards back! https://t.co/Imt9oHh8wj

Of course this might mean next to nothing, and is just Reeves being polite about an actor he admires.

But with the versatility that Serkis has in his arsenal, capable of both live action performances and motion capture creations, there surely could be a role in there somewhere for him.

The possibilities seem bountiful. Perhaps a casting to look out for.
