Star Wars: The Last Jedi to reveal “The Most Shocking Truth In Star Wars History”

May 17, 2017 by Gary Collinson

Just in case you need another reason to see December’s Star Wars: The Last Jedi, an official Japanese leaflet promoting the movie is boldly claiming that the second chapter of the Sequel Trilogy is set to deliver “the most shocking truth in Star Wars history”!

Check out the leaflet here, followed by the English translation, courtesy of Star Wars News Net:

The Most Shocking Truth In Star Wars History Will Soon Be Revealed!

A new generation’s tale of the struggles of light and dark, virtue and evil has begun with the death of Han Solo.

In a Galaxy where First Order and the Resistance are fighting against each other in a war, the heroine, Rey, had the Force awaken within her.

What will happen to the galaxy when Rey and the only remaining Jedi knight, Luke Skywalker, meet?

Kylo Ren has fallen to the Dark Side of the Force and killed his father, Han Solo. As a successor of his grandfather, Darth Vader, and a high ranking enforcer in the First Order, where will his ambition lead him to?

Furthermore, Kylo Ren’s mother, the leader of the Resistance, Leia, Poe, Finn, and BB-8, will embark on a new mission!

The story has finally begun and it will lead to a mysterious climax!

December 15. Be ready for the shocking truth surpassing the previous stories!

Assuming this isn’t just hyperbole (or lost in translation), this “shocking truth” will certainly have to be something special to top the “I am your father” reveal from The Empire Strikes Back. Could it be the identity of Rey’s parents? The origin of Supreme Leader Snoke? That old speculation that he’s really an Evil Jar Jar Binks would certainly fit the bill!

What twist do you think we could get in Star Wars: The Last Jedi? Let us know your thoughts in the comments below…

Star Wars: The Last Jedi is set for release on December 15th and sees returning cast members Mark Hamill (Luke Skywalker), Carrie Fisher (Leia Organa), Adam Driver (Kylo Ren), Daisy Ridley (Rey), John Boyega (Finn), Oscar Isaac (Poe Dameron), Lupita Nyong’o (Maz Kanata), Domhnall Gleeson (General Hux), Anthony Daniels (C-3PO), Gwendoline Christie (Captain Phasma), Billie Lourd (Lieutenant Connix), Andy Serkis (Supreme Leader Snoke), Peter Mayhew and Joonas Suotamo (Chewbacca), Tim Rose (Admiral Ackbar), Mike Quinn (Nien Nunb), Simon Pegg (Unkar Plutt), and Warwick Davis joined by new additions Jimmy Vee (Pan) as R2-D2, Kelly Marie Tran (Ladies Like Us) as Rose, and Benicio Del Toro (Guardians of the Galaxy) and Laura Dern (Jurassic Park).
