Unbreakable Kimmy Schmidt renewed for season 4

June 13, 2017 by Samuel Brace

Netflix has renewed its comedy series Unbreakable Kimmy Schmidt for a fourth season.

The Tina Fey series has recently debuted its third season via Netflix, with this current set of instalments sitting at a 78 on Metacritic.

The show stars Ellie Kemper as Kimmy, a woman released into society after having been imprisoned in a bunker for a vast chunk of her life. The series also stars Tituss Burgess and Jane Krakowski, and this season saw Kimmy deciding to attend College after attaining her GED.

Unbreakable Kimmy Schmidt has been nominated for 11 Emmy Awards over its first two seasons, and showcases a similar style of humour as Tina Fey’s previous hit, 30 Rock.

Fey also has a guest role on the show to go along with her executive producing duties. Other high profile stars to make an appearance on the show include Ray Liotta, Fred Armisen, Maya Rudolph, Jeff Goldblum, Jon Hamm, Ice-T, and Laura Dern.
