David Ayer suggests that he’s still moving ahead with Gotham City Sirens

July 27, 2017 by Samuel Brace

Director David Ayer has signalled that he is still involved with Gotham City Sirens.

Recent rumours have suggested that both Zack Snyder and Suicide Squad director David Ayer are not to be heavily involved in the DC movie universe for much longer.

Suicide Squad didn’t exactly go down well with critics but was a hit at the box office, convincing WB to reunite with Ayer on another Harley Quinn-led picture – the female-villain centred Gotham City Sirens.

However, Gotham City Sirens was absent from Warner Bros.’ DC slate announcement at the San Diego Comic-Con this past weekend, leading to speculation that the project may have been dropped, or that Ayer would be departing.

Well, Ayer has responded to the rumours via social media, indicating to all that he still intends to be involved, tweeting this image of Harley.

What does this all mean? It’s hard to say. We will have to wait for official word on just how this whole business will go down.

In the mean time, you can read here about what Ayer had to say about what attracted him to Gotham City Sirens here.
