The Biggest Television Broadcasts of All Time

August 29, 2013 by admin

Since exploding into virtually every household from the middle of the last century, the medium of television has revolutionised not only home entertainment, but it’s also allowed us to experience some of the most historic moments of the past sixty years, from the 1969 Moon landings through to the Opening Ceremony of the 2012 London Olympics… not to mention finding out who shot some bloke called J.R.

We found this handy infographic, which shows a selection of the biggest television broadcasts of all time…

Of course, back in the day, the task of buying a new TV was a simple affair, with the biggest decision being whether to stick with black and white box or plump for that newfangled colour set. But times have changed, and these days buying a new television set is a bit like ordering a Subway sandwich, with the option of plasma TV, Smart TV, LED TV, LCD TV, Full HD 3D TV and 4K Ultra HD TV leaving us spoilt for choice. One company that has been at the forefront of this TV revolution is Sony, whose wide range of TVs offer a combination of detailed resolution and innovative applications to immerse you in all of the action from the comfort of your living room. So whether you want to be a part of those historic moments or you’re looking for the very best home cinema or videogame experience, Sony’s LED TV range is sure to offer everything you need.
