Yesterday it was announced that Entertainment One and Nu Image are developing a Rambo TV series, with Sylvester Stallone said to be in negotiations “to participate on a ‘creative level’ and potentially reprise his iconic role as Rambo.” However if you were hoping to see Sly donning the headband for the series, then I’m afraid you’re out of luck…
“While a television series based on the Rambo property is in development with Entertainment One and Nu Image, contrary to reports, Sylvester Stallone will certainly not reprise his role as the iconic John Rambo for the small screen,” Stallone’s rep tells The Hollywood Reporter, before going on to state that while the action icon may still remain involved in a creative capacity “he himself will not portray the character in the series.”
So with Stallone out, who would you like to see taking on the role of a rebooted Rambo, or is the series already K.I.A.?
