Entertainment One has announced the upcoming release this this year’s limited edition set for The Walking Dead, with season seven of the hit zombie series featuring a statue of Winslow, the spiky, metal head Walker that engaged Rick Grimes (Andrew Lincoln) in gladiatorial combat.
The Walking Dead: The Complete Seventh Season Blu-ray Limited Edition “Spike Walker” Statue with Matte Digipak will be available exclusively to Zavvi.co.uk this October. The set, which includes the complete seventh season housed in special six-disc digipak packaging, comes complete with an interactive Winslow bust. Remove one of the many spikes driven through Winslow’s body, place it back in, and the gruesome sculpture unlocks access to the discs underneath.
As with previous limited editions, McFarlane Toys has once again created a striking, must-own packaging concept. McFarlane Toys have released special edition busts to accompany the Blu-ray sets, including the Governor’s (David Morrissey) Walker head fish tank for season 3, as well as an interactive Tree Walker for season 4. Another unique zombie, the “Asphalt Walker,” accompanied season 5, with season 6 encased within a bloody, grizzly scene depicting the “Trucker Walker.”
