Exclusive trailer for the Scream! & Misty Halloween special from Rebellion

October 11, 2017 by Villordsutch

Rebellion, the publishers of 2000AD the galaxy’s greatest comic, have announced that after thirty years sealed in a long-forgotten crypt, both Scream! & Misty have now risen from the dark beyond.  Now becoming one comic which is set to arrive this October – for a Halloween Special – at a newsagent near you.  Checkout the exclusive trailer below, as well as the synopsis for each of the tales within this special edition release…

Considered as two standout classic titles from the glory days of IPC Publishing, the Scream! & Misty Halloween Special will resurrect fan-favourite strips from both titles, including The 13th Floor, The Dracula File and The Sentinels.  Featuring the works of both writers and artists including Guy Adams, Henry Flint, Hannah Berry and Simon Coleby.

THE 13TH FLOOR

Built in the eighties, Maxwell Tower was then a state-of-the art tower block controlled by a sentient computer called Max. Programmed to serve and protect his residents, Max transports any ‘outsiders’ causing mischief to his horrifying 13th floor- a place where nightmares become reality! Defunct for years, Max is back and ready to dish out punishment! by Guy Adams, John Stokes & Frazer Irving

THE DRACULA FILE

Chased out of Eastern Europe over three decades ago, The Prince of Darkness, Dracula, escaped to Great Britain and never left! The bloodsucking beast has been stalking the streets of our capital for years. But in that time he has made some very deadly enemies… by Gráinne McEntee & Tristan Jones

DEATH-MAN: THE GATHERING

He is Death’s reluctant servant — charged with purging the world of the living from those dark forces who do not belong there. His only goal is to succeed so he too can finally rest in peace. Now his services are required by a group of brilliant and bizarre heroes… by The Feek & Henry Flint

RETURN OF BLACK MAX: BLOOD MOON

Baron Maximilien Von Klorr was a skilled German WWI fighter pilot who struck fear into the Allied Forces as he attacked them with his two giant bats. It has been close to hundred years since the ‘Batmaster’ last plagued the skies, but now he is back, undead and just as dangerous as ever! by Kek-W & Simon Coleby

THE RETURN OF THE SENTINELS

Two twin blocks of high-rise flats tower over the working-class area of Birdwood. Known by the locals as The Sentinels, one block has remained empty for years. Unbeknownst to most, it hosts a gateway to a terrifying, alternate Earth. by Hannah Berry & Ben Willsher

FATE OF THE FAIRY HUNTER

Young Wanda Hannigan has a difficult decision to make – help a powerful fairy to get one over on her horrible boss, or stay loyal to her fellow human being. Patricia Milson may be a grumpy taskmaster, but can you ever truly trust one of the fairy folk? by Alec Worley & DaNi

Also there be two gruesomely great pin ups by Mike Hoffman & Warwick Fraser-Coombe.
