Why a Harry Potter tour is good news for British film fans

July 31, 2013 by admin

There are probably a lot of you out there that pretend you’re too old or too cool for Harry Potter. However, it’s fairly obvious that some of you might be saying one thing and secretly thinking another.

For as well as all the certified Potter fans out there, there must be a fair few who don’t wear their colours on their sleeve. After all, this is the most successful film series of all time so there must be a few people who are secretly Harry mad.

If you are one of them, then you really need to go and check out the Harry Potter tour at the Warner Bros. Studio at Leavesden. It’s a must see attraction for anyone who loves the Harry Potter films; whether they openly admit or not. It really gives you an insight into how they brought the magic of the books to life on the big screen.

You get to tour some of the sets, including going into the Great Hall and having a nose around Dumbledore’s Office. You might even get to discover a few closely guarded secrets about the filmmaking process.

This is another key point for film fans because as well as a healthy dose of Harry there is also plenty to keep film and special effects buffs happy too. You get to see some of the animatronics used in the filming, props and costumes too. All of this gives you some idea of how they made the film look so spectacular on the big screen. It might even give you a few ideas of how to realise your own production one day.

Getting there is easy too. If you’re coming from London then just hop on a train at London Euston and head to Watford Junction. Get off there and catch the special bus that will take you straight to the studios.

If you’re driving from elsewhere, head for the junction of the M25 and the M1 and you should see the brown signs on the roadside. Just follow them to Leavesden and you’ll be almost there!

Some of you might think that Harry Potter is just for kids (although some of you really don’t believe that, no matter what you say) but this tour will really enthral and amaze in equal measure.

With Studio Tour London, you’ll find a unique attraction that gives you the chance to enter a world previously unknown – and isn’t that what these iconic films are all about.

Produced in association with Warner Bros.
