Sticky Rice Games’ visual novel Wild Romance arrives on Android and iOS

October 18, 2017 by Andrew Newton

Sticky Rice Games, a publisher specialising in bringing Japanese visual novels, card battlers, strategy games, platformers etc to the west, have announced the release of the Japanese folklore inspired interactive visual novel Wild Romance onto Android and will come soon to the iOS.  This visual novel contains lovable characters who can be seen in the trailer below…

Wild Romance follows Kazuma, a young male who returns to his Japanese hometown in the country and meets his female childhood friends.  It’s not long before the girls accidentally reveal they are not humans but magical animal spirits in human form called Youkai.  What comes next is a discovery of the supernatural world with his friends Sumire the fox and leader of the group, Tsubaki the cat, Aoi the dog and Nazuna the Japanese raccoon (AKA a tanuki).

Players will experience an enhanced story over that of the original with new character animations, expanded language support, a revamped UI and full 16:9 aspect ratio visuals.  The game has been available for a while on Steam and owners on PC will also receive an update that will bring the game in line with this version.

Wild Romance is available now on Google Play for Android and is coming soon to the Apple App Store for iOS.
