Jeff Goldblum provides details on Dr. Ian Malcolm’s return in Jurassic World 2

October 24, 2017 by Samuel Brace

Actor Jeff Goldblum has offered up some details regarding his return in Jurassic World: Fallen Kingdom.

Goldblum, long a fan-favourite actor thanks to his peculiar mannerisms and interesting characters choices, will be returning as Dr. Ian Malcolm – last seen in The Lost World: Jurassic Park II – for the sequel to the immensely successful Jurassic World.

The series return has been a big success and has made Fallen Kingdom one of the most anticipated blockbusters on the Hollywood calendar. But just what can fans expect from Ian Malcolm’s return? Goldblum offers up some details to Radio Times.

“Ian Malcolm, yes, might be back in this one, and he might have something to say about the current confluence of circumstances around the use and misuse of technology. With some wry irony, deep wise passionate conviction, and he might put on a nice dark bit of clothing here and there … and a tint of glass maybe.”

Goldblum also explained just what Malcolm has been up to all these years:

“What’s he been in the meantime? He opened a jazz club, probably, and he’s been playing every Wednesday in a place called Rockwell. He calls it Rockwell.”

Even Goldblum’s responses to the questions posed will have fans excited by his character’s return, a presence that will surely add a whole new dynamic to the blockbuster upon its release.
