Tatiana Maslany and Sebastian Stan join Nicole Kidman in Destroyer

November 16, 2017 by Ricky Church

A few weeks after Nicole Kidman was cast in the cop thriller Destroyer, director Karyn Kusama has now enlisted Tatiana Maslany (Orphan Black) and Sebastian Stan (Captain America: Civil War) to join Kidman in the film.

Kidman is playing an LAPD detective who must go back undercover after the leader of a gang she infiltrated re-emerges. It is unknown what roles Maslany and Stan will have in the film at this point.

Destroyer is based an original screenplay written by Phil Hay and Matt Manfredi of Ride Along and will be produced by La La Land’s Fred Berger of Automatik. The official synopsis reads:

Destroyer follows the moral and existential odyssey of LAPD detective Erin Bell who, as a young cop, was placed undercover with a gang in the California desert with tragic results. When the leader of that gang re-emerges many years later, she must work her way back through the remaining members and into her own history with them to finally reckon with the demons that destroyed her past.
