Hyper Universe set for release this January, watch the launch trailer here

January 3, 2018 by Andrew Newton

Nexon America has announced that their side scrolling brawler, Hyper Universe, will leave Early Access for full release on 17th January and be available to download for free.  To mark the upcoming release, Nexon have released a launch trailer showcasing the intense, fast paced action.  Watch this trailer below.

Hyper Universe will be completely free to play with no elements of pay to win to spoil the action.  Items that will be available to buy via the Hyper Universe shop will be cosmetic only with a variety of fresh skins and different voices to kit their favourite Hypers with.  This means that players will have to rely on their skill and co-ordination with their team mates rather than the size of their wallets.

“Since releasing through Steam’s Early Access program this past August, the development team carefully reviewed all player feedback, implementing wide-ranging gameplay changes,” said Jungsoo Lee, General Manager of Nexon America. “We want to thank our passionate and dedicated community for their hard work to help shape the development of this game and we eagerly await their response when it goes live for everyone later this month.”

Also releasing alongside the game will be a huge content update adding six new Hypers including Tae’guk, Sonya, Perseus, Han, Camilla and Gulunba.  This will take the total amount of Hypers to available to 41.
