Pricing details revealed for Picaresque Studio’s seafaring strategy game Nantucket

January 11, 2018 by Andrew Newton

Those who are waiting to take to the sea in Picaresque Studio’s seafaring strategy title, Nantucket, will be pleased to hear that pricing has been announced for when the game releases on Steam, GOG, Humble etc. on the 18th January.  Come that day players will be able to say ‘Call me Ishmael’ for the very reasonable sum of £13.99 / €17.99 / $17.99.

Based around the classic Moby Dick, Nantucket takes players to the early 19th century shortly after the events in the Pequod.  Captain Ahab and his crew lost their lives to Moby Dick but sole survivor Ishmael will set out onto a journey that will take him across the seven seas fighting pirates, hunting whales (particularly Moby Dick) and all other assorted nautical activities.  Hunting down Moby Dick will be a completely original storyline that will see the end to Ahab’s curse.

In traditional RPG fashion players will be able to develop their character by increasing their stats and improving skills.  The ship will also be able to be upgraded and improved to expand its capabilities.

“Picaresque Studio is bursting with Talent, evidenced by the reception of Nantucket in the gaming community. Where we find unique experiences such as this, our expertise in publishing is brought to bear to enable partners such as Picaresque Studio to focus on the game, while we leverage our experience and knowledge to deliver a successful publishing partnership.”  said Richard Benn, Managing Director, Fish Eagle.

Nantucket will be released on the 18th January.
