Jack Huston and Maximiliano Hernandez cast in Mr. Mercedes season 2

January 15, 2018 by Gary Collinson

With production on the second series of Mr. Mercedes set to get underway in South Carolina next month, Deadline is reporting that Jack Huston (Ben-Hur) and Maximiliano Hernandez (Captain America: The Winter Soldier) have joined the cast of the Stephen King adaptation.

The second season will continue its adaptation of King’s Bill Hodges Trilogy – Mr. Mercedes, Finders Keepers and End of Watch – and sees the return of Brendan Gleeson as Bill Hodges and Harry Treadaway as Brady Hartsfield. Huston is set to portray Hartsfield’s doctor Dr. Felix Babineau, with Hernandez as Assistant D.A. Antonio Montez.

David E. Kelley (Big Little Lies) and Dennis Lehane (Live By Night) lead the writers room for season two, with Jack Bender (Under the Dome) set to direct eight of the ten episodes. Also returning to the cast are Jharrel Jerome as Jerome Robinson, Scott Lawrence as Detective Peter Dixon, Breeda Wool as Lou Linklatter, Justine Lupe as Holly Gibney and Holland Taylor as Ida Silver.
