We can expect a Nightwing movie update in February

January 28, 2018 by Gary Collinson

Originally published January 28, 2018. Updated February 11, 2018.

Back in February 2017, it was announced that The LEGO Batman Movie director Chris McKay is set to take the reins of a Nightwing movie, but – like many of the proposed DC Extended Universe features – the film has been absent from Warner’s last few DC Films slate announcements.

However, McKay has now taken to Twitter to reassure fans that development continues, and we should expect some kind of official announcement on Dick Grayson’s solo big screen outing next month:

So far, we know very little about McKay’s plans for Nightwing, save that he wants to present a “badass” take on the character featuring “real stuntwork” rather than an overemphasis on CGI. Meanwhile, a host of actors have been linked to the role of Dick Grayson, including Zac Efron, Steven Yeun, Finn Wittrock, Nick Jonas and Dacre Montgomery.

Let us know in the comments below if you’re still excited about the prospect of a Nightwing movie, and who you’d like to see taking on the role of the former Boy Wonder…
