It looks like Marvel Studios has added a few more potential directors to its shortlist for Doctor Strange, with THR reporter Borys Kit suggesting that Scott Derrickson (Sinister) is now in contention alongside the previously mentioned Mark Andrews (Brave) and Jonathan Levine (Warm Bodies).
The latter two were rumoured last month along with Dean Israelite (Welcome to Yesterday) and Nikolaj Arcel (A Royal Affair), although Marvel Studios chief Kevin Feige subsequently shot down the shortlist as speculation.
Jonathan Levine would certainly bring an interesting indie sensibility to the Hollywood glamour of the Marvel Cinematic Universe but for me, Nikolaj Arcel seems best fit – if only so that we get to see Mads Mikkelsen joining the MCU.
