Jude Law in talks for villain role in Guy Ritchie’s Knights of the Round Table: King Arthur

November 16, 2014 by Gary Collinson

Variety is reporting that Jude Law (Dom Hemingway) has entered talks with Warner Bros. and Village Roadshow Pictures for the role of the villain in the King Arthur film, Knights of the Round Table, which would reunite him with Sherlock Holmes director Guy Ritchie.

Viewed as the first of a potential six-part franchise, Knights of the Round Table will star Charlie Hunnam (Sons of Anarchy) as Arthur, along with French actress Astrid Berges-Frisbey (Pirates of the Caribbean: On Stranger Tides) as Arthur’s Queen consort Guinevere. Hunnam’s Pacific Rim co-star Idris Elba was in talks to play Bedivere, but negotiations broke down.

Knights of the Round Table: King Arthur is currently set for release on July 22nd 2016.
