Writers Guild of America announces nominations for 2015 WGA Awards

The Writer’s Guild of America has announced the nominations for Oustanding Achievement for the 2015 WGA Awards, with Boyhood, Foxcatcher, The Grand Budapest Hotel, Nightcrawler and Whiplash set to contest the Original Screenplay award, and American Sniper, Gone Girl, Guardians of the Galaxy, The Imitation Game and Wild up for Adapted Screenplay.

Here’s the full list of nominees:

If you’re wondering where the likes of Birdman and The Theory of Everything are, they were ineligible for nomination due to WGA regulations, which state the films have to be produced under the guild’s Basic Agreement.

The 2015 WGA Awards will take place on February 14th.
