The first villain to feature in Supergirl will be The Lumberjack

January 30, 2015 by Gary Collinson

TV Line has got the scoop on who the first villain to face off against Kara Zor-El in the upcoming CBS TV series Supergirl will be, with the site reporting that the pilot episode will feature the little-known DC supervillain The Lumberjack.

Interestingly, the character description for The Lumberjack reads that he’s a “big, burly monster of a man, who has battled Kara’s cousin [ie Superman] in the past and shows up to ascertain her level of power on behalf of an unseen superior.”

Interestingly, this is the second time that we’ve heard Superman will exist in the Supergirl world, so expect plenty of speculation about a guest appearance from the Man of Steel until if and when he’s confirmed. Unless they just plan to tease it for the entire run…

Supergirl is set to star Melissa Benoist as Kara and Mehcad Brooks as Jimmy Olsen.
