Chris Pine rumoured for Green Lantern role in the DC Cinematic Universe

March 10, 2015 by Gary Collinson

Originally published March 10, 2015. Updated April 13, 2018.

With next year’s Batman v Superman: Dawn of Justice, director Zack Snyder has already assembled five-sevenths of what we assume will be the line-up for Justice League in Henry Cavill (Superman), Ben Affleck (Batman), Gal Gadot (Wonder Woman), Jason Momoa (Aquaman) and Ray Fisher (Cyborg), while Ezra Miller has been cast as The Flash, and may yet pop up in the DC ensemble.

That of course leaves one major ommission in Green Lantern, and if El Mayimbe of Latino-Review is to be believed, Star Trek star Chris Pine could be in line to succeed Ryan Reynolds in the role of Hal Jordan. The Instagram post in question states this to be an unconfirmed rumour, so don’t be too surprised if there’s no truth to it…

Would you like to see Chris Pine as Hal Jordan? Do you even want to see Hal Jordan again, or should Warner Bros. go down the John Stewart route? Let us know your thoughts…
