According to Deadline, Hugh Jackman has signed on star in Apostle Paul, a new faith-based project which he will produce alongside Matt Damon and Ben Affleck. Matt Cook (Triple 9) is currently penning the script.
The movie will tell the story of Paul the Apostle, a Jewish man of God who preached the word of Jesus to the Romans, as well as being credited with writing fourteen books of the new Testament.
Jackman is currently shooting Eddie the Eagle and has The Greatest Showman on Earth and Wolverine 3 on his upcoming slate, as well as a potential role in X-Men: Apocalypse. He will be seen later this year in Pan, where he plays the role of Blackbeard.
