A24’s new horror film Saint Maud has been pulled from April release

March 26, 2020 by Liam Waddington

A24 has pulled writer-director Rose Glass’ horror film Saint Maud from its theatrical release date of 10th April 2020, with North American theaters shut down due to the coronavirus.

While Saint Maud was initially pushed back a week from its original 3rd April release to 10th April, the decision has now been made to pull the film from its release schedule indefinitely.

Saint Maud follows Maud (Morfydd Clark), a young nurse who becomes obsessed with saving her dying patient’s soul. You can read our review of the film here.

Saint Maud is a chilling and boldly original vision of faith, madness, and salvation in a fallen world. Maud, a newly devout hospice nurse, becomes obsessed with saving her dying patient’s soul — but sinister forces, and her own sinful past, threaten to put an end to her holy calling.

Saint Maud features a cast that includes Jennifer Ehle, Lilly Frazer, Lily Knight, Marcus Hutton, Turlough Convery, and Rosie Sansom.
