Adrianne Palicki promoted to series regular on Marvel’s Agents of S.H.I.E.L.D.

February 14, 2015 by Gary Collinson

Yesterday ABC released a detailed new synopsis for the second half of Agents of S.H.I.E.L.D. season 2 ahead of its midseason premiere next month, and now we have word via The Wrap that Adrianne Palicki (Bobbi Morse / Mockingbird) has been promoted to series regular for the show’s return.

Agents of S.H.I.E.L.D. has added several new cast members during its midseason break, with Edward James Olmos (Blade Runner), Luke Mitchell (The Tomorrow People) and Drea de Matteo (The Sopranos) all set for guest roles, as well as Thor and Thor: The Dark World star Jaimie Alexander, who will return for a second appearance in the show as Lady Sif.

So, with strong rumours suggesting that Jeremy Renner could make a guest appearance as Hawkeye prior to Avengers: Age of Ultron [see here and here], might we get to see the beginning of the relationship between Bobbi and Clint during the latter half of this season?

Marvel’s Agents of S.H.I.E.L.D. returns to ABC on March 3rd. Follow all of our coverage here.
