Alfre Woodard stars in trailer for Sundance hit Clemency

Neon has released a new poster and trailer for the Sundance hit Clemency. Written and directed by Chinonye Chukwu, the drama stars Alfre Woodard as a prison warden, who after years of carrying out death row executions, decides to confront the psychological and emotional demons her job creates. Featuring in the cast alongside Woodard are Aldis Hodge, Danielle Brooks, Richard Schiff, Michael O’Neill, Richard Gunn, and Wendell Pierce; take a look here…

Years of carrying out death row executions have taken a toll on prison warden Bernadine Williams (Alfre Woodard). As she prepares to execute another inmate, Bernadine must confront the psychological and emotional demons her job creates, ultimately connecting her to the man she is sanctioned to kill.

Clemency is set for release on December 27th.
